Care-A-Van provides transportation to grocery stores and other stores to help individuals obtain the necessary items such as groceries, clothing, prescriptions, and other items.
Community Events
Want a ride to a senior/community center? Not a problem. Care-A-Van can provide you with transportation to community events and connect you to other people in the community.
FREE
Care-A-Van's services are free.
We request a $3.00 donation each way, however passengers are never turned away due to inability to pay.
Mission
Transportation with a Heart... We help bring independence, care, and compassion to seniors, disabled, and the truly needy.
Purpose
Care-A-Van Transit is a non-profit founded in 1994 to meet the transportation needs of the elderly and disabled. Care-A-Van provides door-to-door services to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and individuals who are financially disadvantaged. Care-A-Van provides opportunities for these men, women, children, and young adults to engage in activities of daily living and independence.
Funding
Care-A-Van is generously supported through grants from the Riverside County Transportation Commission Measure A, 5310, Community Development Block Grants, community organizations such as the Soboba Foundation and California Family Life Center, and individual donations from community members.
Care-A-Van Transit serves Southwest Riverside County areas of Hemet, San Jacinto, Lake Elsinore, Menifee, and the unincorporated areas.
